Our mission
Creators deserve infrastructure that does not take 30% of their revenue. Over the last decade, the biggest platforms turned the creator economy into a rent-extraction business: long policy documents, opaque take rates, and tools that feel rented because they are. Hit a policy tripwire, lose your audience. Get demonetized for a reason nobody will explain, lose your income. The platforms hold the keys; the creators do the work.
Chokala flips that arrangement. We build the boring-but-load-bearing infrastructure that every modern creator business needs — bookings, tips, recurring contributions, public goals, livestream schedules, smart-link hubs, transactional email, audience newsletters — and we keep the take rate as low as the underlying payments rails allow. The creator owns their audience, their domain name, their email list, and their data. If you ever want to leave us, the door swings both ways and the export is clean.
Our north-star metric is creator take-home per visitor. Every architectural decision is measured against it: does this change make a creator earn more from the same audience? If yes, it ships. If no, it does not.
Who Chokala is for
Chokala is built for creators who treat what they do as a business: streamers, coaches, musicians, podcasters, writers, community organizers — anyone whose audience pays them directly. If you currently glue together Linktree + Calendly + Patreon + a Substack and pay four separate take rates for the privilege, Chokala is the home that replaces all of it under one roof, one login, and one URL you actually own.
It is also built for the next 100 creators, not the top 10. Our pricing and feature set assume you are growing — not that you have already got 10 million followers and an agent to negotiate platform deals on your behalf. Most of our roadmap is driven by what mid-size creators ask for, because mid-size is where the unit economics of a modern creator business are actually hardest to make work.
If you are switching from a hodgepodge of generic tools, you do not need to migrate everything at once. Start with the link hub, point your custom domain at it, and bring over bookings and tips when you are ready. The team is responsive to feedback from active creators — if a workflow is missing, we want to hear about it before we hear about it on social.
What every Chokala hub includes
Every Chokala hub includes a custom domain at every pricing tier — yourname.com points at your hub with HTTPS handled for you — AND a per-creator slug at chokala.gg/@you for discoverability. You pick whichever URL fits your brand best; both work everywhere on every page, and either one can be your primary canonical without us limiting traffic to the other.
On top of the domain layer, you get bookings, tips, public goals, and newsletter substrate built into the same hub. No third-party widgets to embed, no separate billing relationships to manage with five different SaaS products, no surprise platform-fee deductions sliced off the top of every transaction. One hub, one monthly bill from us, one place your audience lands no matter which link you put in your bio.
Email is included too: a transactional mailbox for booking confirmations and tip receipts, plus a creator newsletter substrate for the broadcasts you actually want to send. Your subscriber list is yours, exportable any time, and never sold or fed to a recommendation system that competes with you.
How we make money
Chokala charges the lowest take rate in the industry — pricing details on /pricing once it ships. We don't take 30%. We don't take 15%. We don't take 10%. We take what we need to keep the lights on and re-invest the rest in features that compound for creators.
We don't sell your data, we don't run ads against your audience, and we don't take a cut of your bookings or tips beyond the disclosed take rate. If a payments processor (PayPal, Stripe) charges their own fee, that's between you and them — Chokala does not skim a second margin on top.
